We teach and support our dancers to achieve their goals from beginner to World championship level, from their first dance in front of one persion to dancing in front of thousands, from dream to reality.
About Us
Scoil Rince Seoige was established in 2008 by Jennifer Joyce T.C.R.G. Jennifer lives in Knocklyon with her husband and two children. Jennifer jointly runs the school with her sister Caroline T.C.R.G.
Scoil Rince Seoige is a member of the Dublin branch of An Comhdháil na Múinteoirí le Rincí Gaelacha Teoranta, otherwise known as An Comhdháil - The Congress of Irish Dance Teachers.
Scoil Rince Seoige (SRS) teach classes in St. Colmcille's Community School, Bally Boden St. Endas, and Educate Together in City West. Classes are held on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (for advanced dancers). Dancers may participate in one class per week, but must attend two classes if they wish to dance in competitions (feiseanna).
Meet The Teachers
Jennifer JoyceDance Teacher T.C.R.G
Jennifer Joyce began Irish dancing at the age of three and danced competitively for twenty-one years. Jennifer also performed in many shows including the Performing Arts Tribute Awards and 100% Irish Dance, Olympia Theatre. Jennifer won titles including Dublin (2002, 2005) and Leinster (2006) Champion. During this time she became a professional Irish dancer for the Johnnie Fox's Irish dance troupe.
At the age of five Jennifer began her ballet training in R.A.D. and continued until the age of eighteen during which time she completed all grading examinations. Throughout her ballet training Jennifer was exposed to various styles of dance and was encouraged to develop her own choreography skills.
Caroline JoyceDance Teacher T.C.R.G
At the tender age of 3, Caroline began dancing under the tuition of Ms Grainne Mc Cormack. She hit the ground running winning her first Open Reel Championship under 6 and placing 2nd in Leinster Championships under 7. Caroline competed for 14 years and completed her competitive dancing career under the tuition of the Lil Tully School of Dancing.
Throughout her dancing career, Caroline has danced in shows in The Olympia Theatre, Performing Artists Trust to name a few. She is currently a member of the Irish Dancing troupe in Johnnie Fox’s – The Highest Pub in Ireland.
Caroline started teaching with Scoil Rince Seoige in 2014, after qualiifing as a dance teacher with An Comhdháil.
